Who Is Like God?“

“It doesn’t matter what you believe, as long as you believe something.” “All gods are ultimately the same.” Do you hear people say things like that? Have you said things like that?

Anyone who says those things hasn’t met the one true God of the Bible. Most gods treat you well when you do good things. The true God shows grace even to the worst sinner. Most gods have lightening bolts ready to strike anyone who displeases them. The true God sent his only Son Jesus to die for our sins. Most gods are too busy seeking their own pleasure to pay much attention to human beings. The true God delights in his people’s lives, just as much as a loving Father loves to watch his children.

God’s prophet Micah realized this: “Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea” (Micah 7:18-19). There is no god like the God of the Bible!

God pardons sin, forgives his people, does not stay angry, delights to show mercy, has compassion on us, and hurls our sins into the depths of the sea. Who does that? Just God. The one true God!

Who you believe in matters. There is no one like our God!
