The Father’s Will

There are lot of things in my life that I don’t understand. There are lots of things that happen in our country and the world that don’t make sense to me. It can be hard for me to trust God. It can be hard for me not to worry or doubt or spend my timing telling God what he really needs to do. How foolish!

I’m thankful that one thing in life is crystal clear: God’s will for your and my salvation. Jesus tells us, “For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day” (John 6:40). Everything God does—even the things you and I don’t understand—he does with this purpose: Leading people to see and believe in Jesus and have eternal life. I am so thankful that my Father’s will is for me to have eternal life with Jesus! So why do I get so worried? When life makes sense, and when it doesn’t, Jesus reminds us to pray: “Your will be done.” Yes, may the Father’s will be done! May more and more people believe in Jesus and have eternal life.
