Nothing Is Too Hard

“It’s too hard.” How often do you say or think that? Life is hard. Not just the big trials like sickness or accidents or break-ups. Everyday life is hard. So many decisions to make. So many problems to confront. Life is too hard for us to face it alone.

But you don’t have to. A believer in God prayed this prayer long ago, “Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you” (Jeremiah 32:17). What is too hard for God? Nothing! Nothing is too hard for God.

Want proof? God made the heavens and the earth. We humans are impressed when we fly a spaceship around the moon. God made the moon. And the sun. And the galaxies. And the earth with its mountains and oceans and clouds. If God could make the whole universe, what is too hard for him? Nothing!

What’s more, when we human beings sinned, God came into our world. Jesus became a human being so that he could die on the cross for our sins and rise from the dead for our salvation. If God is willing to die for us, what is too hard for him? Nothing!

When life is too hard for you, turn to God! Pray, “You who made the whole universe… You who died on the cross for me… Take my life into your gracious hands. Nothing is too hard for you!”
