God and You Always Make a Majority

What are you up against today? Is it a packed schedule with hardly any room to rest—or breathe? Is it strained relationships at home or work that consume your thoughts? Is it worry over how other people might hurt you today—or soon? Is it guilt over how you’ve hurt others? Every day in this sinful world, it can feel like someone or something—or everything!—is against us.

So here’s the Bible’s promise: “The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” (Psalm 118:6). It’s easy to see who’s against you. Don’t ever forget who’s on your side. The Lord! I once heard someone say, “God and you always make a majority.” Those are wise words! Even if it’s 7 billion people versus just God and you, who’s stronger? God and you always make a majority! God already abandoned Jesus on the cross so that he will never abandon you. Your sins are forgiven. Your future in heaven is secure. No matter what you face today—or in your entire life!—God and you make the majority. “The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”
